Alfredo. The arch-enemy.

Oh, how I love alfredo. And who doesn't? What isn't to love about a cream sauce? So, yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to turn out being. The boy and I had a visitation to go to and then went out to dinner with another couple afterward. I know that I didn't make the best choice, but we went to a super expensive restaurant, and the only other thing (other than alfredo) that I really would've liked was the filet mignon, which was like, $35. So, I went with the $20 alfredo and just tried to not eat the entire thing. I did pretty good. I ate probably 1/3 of it or so, which was more like a normal serving.

Here is the rundown from yesterday:

Breakfast: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich and 1 Coke
Lunch: 3 black bean and cheese taquitoes from Trader Joes and a tbsp of salsa
Dinner: Blackened Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, 1 very small piece of bread and 1/8 of a brownie sundae

Now, since I know I won't be able to post again today, here is the plan for today:

Breakfast/Lunch: Blackened Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, 1 Coke and a fudgsicle
Snack: Junior mints (we are going to a movie)
Dinner: Grilled chicken and grilled corn, green beans and red pepper. And probably a small glass of wine

So, today will end up being better than yesterday - all because of that one meal! But even so, I did so much better this week than I would usually eat. So, I am proud of myself for jumping in and doing what I have said I was going to do.

Now, a couple questions, if anyone could lend some insight. First, what do you do when you go out? I don't want to get a salad at every restaurant (and that isn't always the best option). Do you get something that looks relatively healthy and just eat half, since we all know restaurant portions are ridiculous?

Second question: I have gotten a migraine everyday. This is not a normal time period for me to get a migraine, and the only change I have made is my diet. So it has to be related right? Wouldn't you think that by eating better, I should (theoretically) have LESS migraines?

Hm.
